Job Summary/Description:

WBTV is looking for an innovative news producer who is ready to deliver urgent, important, and unique content to a multiplatform audience. The ideal candidate is an experienced line producer who is not afraid to push the boundaries of creativity and experiment with new ideas to deliver an energetic and compelling news product to the greater Charlotte audience.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

- Produce live, urgent daily newscast
- Select, showcase, and write content for multi-platform audience
- Collaborate with anchors, assignment desk, reporters, photographers, and editors to ensure execution of a high-quality newscast
- Lead extensive coverage of live breaking news and special events
- Inspire and guide fellow producers to be innovative storytellers
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:   - Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field preferred, equivalent experience considered
- Must have a video reel or portfolio of recent work
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a television line producer in a medium or large market
- Experience producing with multiple live sources
- Excellent writing, storytelling, news judgment, and time management skills required
