Nexstar’s cable news network NewsNation is seeking a publicity coordinator to join the Communications team who will assist in the development and execution of publicity campaigns to amplify the brand and the organization’s unbiased and first-rate anchors and journalists. The PR coordinator will support all aspects of the department’s responsibilities, including the following:

Drafting press releasesEfforting news placementsMonitoring key newsmakers, guests, politicians, etc.Staffing press interviews and eventsCreating status reports

The candidate must be passionate about the 24-hour news cycle and have a strong work ethic. Other duties and assignments as assigned.

Experience & Education

Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, or other related field.1-2 years of public relations experience.Salary range: $37,500- $50,000
