This new cabinet-level agency brings together programs centered on children and families, including child care and early learning, child support, child safety and permanency, economic support and food assistance, and youth opportunity. Formerly a part of the Department of Human Services, the new Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) Agency became effective on July 1, 2024. _***_ Telework (https://mn.gov/mmb-stat/policies/1422-telework.pdf) _(_ _Within Minnesota or neighboring states only;_ _telework is not allowed in other states_ _) and flexible hours options are available_ _.***_ _***This position is temporary and includes full state fringe benefits; the position is expected to last up to 3 years.***_ The Next Generation Employment Services Grant Manager supports project management efforts within the Child Support Division to support the mission and objectives of the division that the public receives the highest quality child support services. This position is being created to provide project management support and oversight for a $2.1M federal grant opportunity entitled, “Next Generation Employment Services”. This position will help manage and lead all project related deliverables for the project including coordination and support for work relating to the implementation of all federal grant related efforts related to this funding opportunity and will manage partnerships within the DCYF, child support county, tribal and other state agency partnerships to ensure successful coordination efforts. This position will also provide technical expertise to senior leadership to ensure that maximum effectiveness is achieved during the grant’s life cycle. Responsibilities include: + Under administrative direction, provide leadership project management for the division’s Next Generation Employment Services grant, a cross sector collaboration including more than 15 organizational partners. + Provide expertise to the collaborative, Director of Program and Strategic Initiatives, Division Director, Deputy Director, peer demonstration sites, and Tribe/county child support agencies so that program planning, operations, and programmatic decisions are carried out with maximum effectiveness. + Serve as the Grant Coordinator for the grant, including creating status reports, participating in RFP development requests, data sharing agreements and interagency agreements, vendor selection for grant management related activities, and monitor activities of initiative subgrants and subcontract. **Minimum Qualifications** **_**To facilitate proper crediting, please ensure that your resume clearly describes your experience in the areas listed and indicates the beginning and ending month, day and year for each job held.**_** Two years of project or program management experience in a public, nonprofit or equivalent setting which must demonstrate: + Experience working on projects/programs with a large number of partners + Experience working in contracts, accounting or grant procedures + Experience in planning, writing reports, grant proposals, project plans or equivalent documents. + Knowledge of human service, education or workforce development programs + Experience leading and facilitating meetings + Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures. **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience working with other government entities such as counties, courts and tribes + Experience working on issues of child support, higher education or employment services + Experience with antipoverty-related programs and grants **Additional Requirements** REFERENCE/BACKGROUND CHECKS – DCYF will conduct reference checks to verify job-related credentials and a criminal background check prior to appointment.
