The Night Auditor is responsible for consistently delivering results that contribute to the mission and overall success of the hotel. The Night Auditor will perform Cashier and Guest Service Agent duties.

Know duties of front desk, PBX and night auditor as outlined in the appropriate job descriptionsReconcile and complete all daily front desk cashier workRun final trial balance to post rooms and close dayRun accounts receivable reportsProof next day reports for front office, housekeeping, sales and executive office as requiredHave a complete working knowledge of POS and PMSPerform duties with minimum direction from supervisorProvide guest with quick, pleasant and efficient serviceFollow established departmental and hotel policiesAware of Hotel's personal service program and participate actively in itBuild solid relationship with your ColleaguesTreat colleagues with respect and dignityOther duties and responsibilities may be assigned. A candidate for this position must possess the following applicable knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to demonstrate and provide applicable examples to support his/her competency.

Track record of delivering exceptional guest or client experienceCommunication skills are utilized a significant amount of time for training and safety purposes, and when interacting with guests and associatesStrong communication skillsAppropriate professional appearance and demeanorAbility to satisfactorily operate computers, familiarity with Microsoft Office/OPERA and/or willingness to learn new software systemsAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions and percentagesAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsAbility to write routine reports and correspondenceAbility to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organizationAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization existsAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

Education and/or Experience

High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
