Night Auditor-Part Time
 Essential Functions: Accountable for carrying out a range of guest service activities and delivering the best quality of service in a prompt, polite, and expert manner by abiding by policies and procedures and brand service standards. Provide customer service to hotel guests, prepare, and maintain nightly audit reports. This position has been evaluated for compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act and is subject to premium pay for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a payroll week. + Perform general clerical and customer service responsibilities + Answer telephone + Post charges, compute bills, collect payment, and make change for the guests + Make and confirm reservations + Monitor room availability + Block rooms + Set-up complimentary continental breakfast in the morning + Finalize transactions completed during the day and process credit card transactions + Create, print, file and transmit required reports + Compile daily sales figures and complete daily reports + Maintains a safe working environment within and around their facilities and associated equipment and supplies including, but not limited to, obtaining Safety Data Sheet (SDS) information pertaining to any hazards associated with their work environment Salary:  $16.00/hour; 16 hours per week   Other Duties & Responsibilities: + Program wake-up calls + Handle guest mail and messages + Open and close shifts making cash drops as necessary + Maintain breakfast room and coffee area as needed + Complete End of Month procedures + Provide guests with information pertaining to hours and available services of the hotel + Provide guests with directions and information regarding the local area + Perform laundry duties as needed + Assist in checking all lobby fixtures, equipment and conditions for proper operation, settings, and maintenance. Reports deficiencies + Perform light cleaning functions as needed to promote safety, health and environmental concerns of hotel guests, visitors of the University and fellow employees + Participate in safety training and comply with safety rules, regulations, and protocols. + Perform additional duties and assist with special projects as assigned    + Supports and assists in creating an evolving culture of mentoring and rich engagement opportunities for students + Maintains a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion and a high degree of cultural competence and respect for a wide range of identities and experiences, therefore welcoming and supporting all faculty, staff and students and expanding access to the AU experience Qualifications-Education & Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: + High School Diploma required + Minimum of one year of bookkeeping experience and/or hotel experience + Must be customer oriented, well-organized, have excellent interpersonal and analytical skills + Must be computer literate, able to work independently and comprehend reports and instructions Physical Demand & Work Environment: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
