Position Summary:
As a member of the Quality Assurance Laboratory Team for a manufacturing facility, you will perform routine bacteriological and chemical testing of dairy and juice products. Work with other departments to insure all company and regulatory standards are met.
SCHEDULE: Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri. Off - Sat, Sun, Wed. Your working hours may be modified to fit company’s business needs.
SHIFT: 2:00 AM - 12:30 PM
Compensation: $25.68/hr. - $29.44/hr.
Essential Functions:
Follow standard procedures and detailed instructions. Obtain samples for testing from containers, tanks and vats in manufacturing facility. Testing of raw materials and finished product. General lab preparation. Operate and maintain lab equipment.Compute formulas and make calculations. Observe and accurately record details. Maintain State Lab Certification program for App N. testing. Complete all work before shift closing. Complete other tasks as assigned.
Requirement/Qualifications:
High school Diploma or GED. College degree preferred 1-2 years of lab experience preferred. Excellent math and computer skills, specifically MS Excel, Office & Outlook. Strong communication skills, detail orientated, solid decision making, ability to work independently with little supervision. Some lifting, carrying of items and climbing ladders.Qualifications, Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent College degree preferred Reading & writing proficiency (English language) and ability to identify colors Excellent math and computer skills, specifically MS Excel, Office & Outlook 1-2 years of lab experience preferred Ability to work well as part of a team Multi-tasked individual Strong communication skills, detail orientated, solid decision making, ability to work independently with little supervision.Physical Requirements:
Ability to move at a quick pace. Frequently Standing: Long periods (up to 8 hours). Sitting: Occasionally Walking: Frequently Bending, Twisting & Stretching: Frequently Lifting: Heavy (up to 50 lbs.): Climbing: Ladders to make connections and add packaging materials. Pushing/Pulling: moving pallets of paper up to 200 lbs. Stock packaging materials Environment: Wet and dry, temperature variations from 50 to 85 degrees Fahrenheit. Floors are wet and occasionally slippery due to product spills and cleaning process (slip resistant footwear is required). Constant Use of chemicals Noise: Moderate to heavy (hearing protection is required).
