Maintenance Mechanic

Paying $32 / HR - $39 / HR

Location - Beaverton, OR

Responsibilities:

Perform repairs in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic breakdowns under minimal guidance of the maintenance supervisor.Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical system issues on production machinery.Respond to work orders submitted by employees.Participate and execute actions from the quality improvement program.Aid in installation of new equipment for both the production floor and the facility.Uphold company safety rules and report any unsafe conditions or behaviors to supervisors.Maintain compliance with company quality systems and support audits.Use shop equipment including welders and manual lathes to fabricate new fixtures for unique repairs.Fabricate parts using welders and manual mill machinery.Other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications:

Ability to adapt to change and respond to maintenance emergencies independently and responsibly. Ability to problem solve and prioritize work.Ability to bend, squat and kneel, and climb frequently.Ability to stand for periods of a minimum of 3 hours.Ability to work with minimum supervision.Ability to lift average weighted materials, 50 lbs up to 70 lbs occasionally.Effective written and verbal communication skills.Ability to read and interpret blue prints mechanical schematics, piping diagrams, and engineered drawings.High school diploma or GED or trade school certificate preferred.Experience/knowledge in a mix of the following areas: Mechanical, pneumatics, plumbing, confined space, manual machining, MIG welding, and oxy/plasma cutting.

Environment/ Shift:

This is an industrial plant environment. Large facility with office spaces, production floor has many machines and production lines. Can be loud at times with forklifts driving around but it is a clean and orderly facility.Graveyard shift: 11:00pm - 7:00am, Monday through Friday. Occasional Saturday's as needed. Will train on day or swing for a few weeks before moving to the night shift.
