The Night Manager provides managerial leadership for all third shift operations and acts as the Senior Manager on Duty, which includes managing property inspection rounds with Housekeeping and Security personnel. This position also is responsible for the overall success of the Night Audit Team.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):
Supervise the activities of third shift employees including Night Audit, Security, Housekeeping, and Stewarding staff with responsibility for enforcing policies and procedures and providing corrective feedback; report incidents and activity to first or second shift department managers for follow up.*
Meet daily with managers of the shifts preceding and following the night shift to share information about work progress, guest issues, employee issues, and other important situations and to discuss solutions for implementation.*
Respond to a variety of guest requests or opportunities either directly or by accessing additional resources; such issues may include, but are not limited to, transportation requests, room change requests, noise complaints, dealing with combative guests, and or following up with guest opportunities at check out.*
Ensure all functions of the audit process are completed accurately and on time by reviewing printed reports and online system data, inspecting work in progress, training auditors, responding to auditor questions, and approving system transactions.*
Develop a successful night audit team by effectively hiring, training, scheduling, coaching, and developing staff; ensure that all staff members have the tools and resources required to succeed in assigned roles.*
Oversee required training related to company policies, practices, and job related training for all night shift employees.*
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
Industry Experience - Hospitality
Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience.
18 years of age or older.
Associate’s degree - Hospitality Management, Other Management
Relevant work experience can be substituted for education - 2 years
Post-Employment: Must complete RAMP Certification trainingKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
Proven guest/employee relations, problem solving, and organization skills.
Comprehensive knowledge of Resortsuite, Infogenesis, Dollars on the Net, Aptech, Guestare, Cognos or similar software.
Professional image representative of property image.
Ability to work independently and apply good judgment.
