JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Description Summary$7500 Sign - On Bonus Eligible
 

Minimum Qualifications: 

Florida Registered Nurse (RN) with a minimum of two (2) years Mental Health/Addictions nursing or equivalent with diverse population of adults and adolescents.  Have at least one (1) year of management experience.  BLS certified.

Preferred Qualification:  BSN or equivalent in experience

Special Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: 

Detailed oriented with organizational and time management skills.  Ability to communicate information and ideas through verbal and active listening in conveying information effectively in person, telephone or e-mails.  Experience in triage with focus on mental health/addictions and medically complex patients.

Essential Functions/Job Duties:

Monitor staff for compliance with Centerstone policies

Good knowledge base of Baker Acts and Marchman Acts

Promotes customer service within the hospital and community in general

Coordinates and supervises nursing compliance with AHCA and Joint Commission standards on all inpatient units and the Access Center.

Monitors scheduling in all departments

Completes nursing rounds/huddles a minimum of 2 times per shift to review patient care and compliance in 15 min. patient safety checks

Uses critical thinking in approaching problems and able to communicate ideas effectively.

Establishes constructive working relationship with staff in all departments

Displays leadership ability in taking charge and providing direction to staff

Flexible and open to change in fulfilling leadership obligations

Completes chart audits/chart compliance

Seeks guidance from Sr. Management and Clinical Backup

Work Environment/Physical Demands:  Works in a well-lighted area.  Sits, stands, bends, lifts and moves intermittently during work hours.  Is subject to frequent interruptions.  Is involved with clients, residents, family members, personnel, visitors, government agencies/personnel, etc., in a behavioral health setting.

Position Type, Expected Hours of Work and Travel:

Full time rotating nights - 7pm to 7am

Rotating weekends.
