Night Services Area Manager
Overview: The Area Manager of Night Services is responsible for all functions of the Night Services department. Through the development of Supervisors, team Leaders, and the front line associates, the Area Manager ensures that the department is meeting the operational goals and standards for associate safety and the detailed cleanliness of the park grounds. **Salary details based on experience: $67,800 - $80,000/yr.** Responsibilities: + Ensures the park grounds are clean and ready for daily operation by assigning and following up on tasks assigned to the Supervisor, Team Leaders, or front line associates; monitors department supply and equipment levels, and approves purchase orders; coordinates with Management from other departments in regards to general or specific cleaning requests. + Provides coaching and development to department staff; manages performance issues, addresses disciplinary situations, and provides significant input into promotion, demotion, and termination decisions; reviews, adjusts, and approves performance appraisals for department staff on an annual basis. + Upholds safety standards through development of Standard Operating Procedures and associate training; completes Medical Treatment Authorizations, conducts safety investigations, ensures the completion of Supervisor Accident Investigation Reports; submits work orders to correct safety concerns and ensures the repairs are completed; directs associate actions during emergency situations. + Ensures compliance with all Federal, state, and local laws including those from the California Operational Safety and Health Administration; enforces strict legal guidelines regarding vehicle licensing, hazardous waste disposal, storm drain maintenance, and chemical and fuel storage. + Develops and administers annual department operating budget; makes overall adjustments (labor, ODC) throughout the year to meet division specific goals. + Reviews daily, weekly, and monthly department paperwork and reports, and takes action to implement appropriate corrective actions to resolve operational concerns and improve operational efficiency. + Adheres to and enforces all Cedar Fair and specific Park policies and procedures, including safety, attendance and EEO policies, and demonstrates commitment to customer service in all aspects of employment. + Other duties may be assigned. Qualifications: + Ability to work a graveyard shift. + Must have a working knowledge of all Night Services equipment. + A minimum of 2 years of experience at a Supervisor level or equivalent is required (custodian, custodial, janitor, janitorial, maintenance, supervisor, manager) + Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs. + Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law. + Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law. + Certifications: + Driver's License Cedar Fair Entertainment Company is an equal opportunity employer.
