Nights Remote Security Coordinator
**Job Title:** Nights Remote Security Coordinator **Department:** Administration, Facilities & Secretarial **Country:** United States of America **State/Province:** Arkansas **City:** Lowell **Full/Part Time:** Full time **Job Summary:** Under routine supervision, the incumbent is responsible for monitoring gate transactions at multiple J.B. Hunt locations that have a Remote Security Operation (RSO) designation. This position is responsible to ensure that JBHT assets are protected relative to theft, assault, fire, and other safety issues. This position creates accurate logs of gate transactions, and routinely monitors remote sites to identify unusual or suspicious activity. Schedule: 6pm to 6am Thursday to Saturday with every other Wednesday off **Job Description:** **Key Responsibilities:** • Adhere to security systems, technologies, operating standards, and procedures; continually monitor existing security systems and technologies for possible security leaks or fraud • Use the “Gatekeeper” system / JBHT Systems to verify driver and equipment assignment at all remote security sites with the designation “RSO Heavy.” Driver entry errors should be corrected, and drivers should be advised on how to proceed with assignment discrepancies • Advise proper driver access codes based on available information in JBHT systems at remote security sites with the designation “RSO Light” • Speak with drivers to gather data and information and help them navigate the security process to confirm authorization and security access to be able to exit the facility with their equipment • Log all driver assignment discrepancies and equipment issues that have been cleared by Team lead / Management as an RSO Exception • Comply with site-specific remote security projects that collaborate with key JBHT business partners to ensure that gate transactions involving their equipment is efficiently handled • Verify / Log all outside carriers pulling JBHT assets to ensure compliance with company policy • Regulate traffic flow at remote security sites, regardless of Heavy or Light designation. Resolve traffic back-ups in a timely manner to avoid safety hazards • Follow procedures for department initiatives, including emergency evacuation and traffic / crowd control for on campus events • Work with internal JBHT teams to resolve routine issues at remote security sites (i.e. Issues with Shop Status, Gate Operation Failures, etc.) **Qualifications:** **Minimum Qualification:** + Ability to work night shifts **Preferred Qualifications:** + 1 year of security-related experience and/or training + experience using a computer in a workplace setting + experience with Microsoft Office Suite + Experience in security, transportation, military and/or law enforcement + Experience in safety management + CPR Certification **Skills & Abilities:** + Ability to communicate (written and verbal) effectively + Ability to maintain professionalism while dealing with difficult individuals + Ability to make independent time-sensitive decisions + Ability to work both individually and as a team + Customer Service skills + Interest in learning new technologies/software applications + Knowledge of basic employee safety + Proficient time management skills + Ability to multi-task This position is not eligible for employment-based sponsorship. **Compensation:** Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
