Job Summary:
Metro One LPSG is seeking an experienced, motivated, and NJ State SORA Certified Instructor to conduct the 24-Hour Pre-Assignment Training and the 8-Hour Annual In-Service Renewal Security Guard programs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in security training, exceptional communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining high educational standards. Key Responsibilities:
Provide engaging, hands-on classroom and virtual instruction that meets Metro One LPSG standards.Develop and maintain an up-to-date course syllabus, ensuring it aligns with the most current security practices and regulatory requirements.Deliver comprehensive instruction covering all course materials, utilizing various teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.Prepare detailed lesson plans, evaluate student progress, and maintain accurate attendance and grade records.Adhere to academic policies, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.Qualifications and Skills:
NJSP SORA Instructor Certification (required).Minimum of 3 years of experience in security training or management.Prior Law Enforcement or Military Experience preferred (DD-214 with Honorable Discharge if applicable).Flexible availability, with willingness to work evenings or weekends as required.Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse range of individuals.Additional FSD, EAP, CPR/AED certifications are advantageous but not required.Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with customer service or retail environments.Experience with instructional design or curriculum development.Education:
Associate’s Degree preferredExperience:
Minimum of 3 years in security training or development (required).At least 3 years of experience in a security role (required).Schedule:
