The NMO Technical Specialists apply lessons learned from past experiences on assigned projects while identifying opportunities to work through others to make improvements. Other requirements include solving complex problems with testing, troubleshooting, repairing or refurbishing and fully understanding sub-systems and the interconnectivity between main systems involved for the projects. As the subject matter expert, they are responsible for creating and modifying work procedures while reading and interpreting complex drawings to accurately record, measure and improve results. Those in this role are responsible for mentoring/training others on workmanship standards, general business objectives, work instruction, drawing or other technical documents and help enable them to develop their own levels of expertise
Duties and Responsibilities\rSupports advanced or complex engineering, prototypes, development, or production & quality requirements for primarily low volume/high mix of electronic, mechanical or software related products.Applies advanced development, evaluation, and quality control techniques to complex technical projects.Works under minimal supervision with latitude for independent action and decision-making.Provides technical guidance and project leadership.Demonstrates ability to provide informal leadership for groups of technicians while motivating them to accomplish work results tied to business objectives.Demonstrates ability to effectively engage with FM&T customers and represent the company in a positive light.Works independently and self-directed while understanding the priorities of the business to make day-to-day decisions.Takes initiative to solve problems and accomplish tasks with minimal supervisor assistance.Works with and learns from project leads, Subject Matter Experts and/or their direct supervisor.Understands all elements of Honeywell Operating Sytems (HOS) and Management Operating Systems (MOS) while articulating them to lower-level technicians.You Must Have\r5+ years of experience in technical assignments, including application of technology principles to complex assignments, with two of those years in testing, development, modification of equipment, and providing informal leadership among technicians.Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field from an ABET-accredited program/university or 2 additional years of direct work experience.Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business.Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job.United States Citizenship.Ability to obtain and maintain, if required for position, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations).We Value\rAbility to apply advanced development, evaluation, and quality control techniques to complex technical projects.Ability to work under minimal supervision, with latitude for independent action and decision-making.
