What you will learn and contribute to

The SRE team is responsible for how our platform is deployed, configured, and monitored, as well as the availability, latency, change management, emergency response, and management capacity of services in production. SRE helps teams manage service-level agreements (SLAs) to define the required reliability of the system through service-level indicators (SLI) and service-level objectives (SLO).

8+ years of relevant experience in programming Ability to program using one or more high-level languages, such as Python, Java, C/C++, Ruby, and JavaScript Experience with distributed computing, storage technologies and dynamic resource management frameworks such as Kubernetes Familiar with working with public cloud platforms such as ASW, GCP and Azure Proactive approach to identifying problems, performance bottlenecks, and areas for improvement  Knowledge and experience with CI/CD implementation, DevOps concepts, best practices and tooling (e.g. Jenkins) Knowledge of Automation scripting and tooling frameworks such as Ansible, Terraform and Crossplane Sound knowledge of operating Systems and containers (Docker & Kubernetes – Helm) Good Knowledge of VPN, VPC and enterprise networking environment (e.g VPC peering, IPsec tunneling, Openconnect etc.)

We are looking for a passionate Software Engineer to join our SRE team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for using automation tools to monitor and observe software reliability in the production environment. The candidate should be familiar with the software development and DevOps with the ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where quality, creativity, and accountability are expected

As part of our team, you will:

Run the production environment on the cloud by monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of system health Build software and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications Build and manage the cloud infrastructure for the production environment Build, own and manage the CD pipelines interlocking with development teams to complete the CI/CD framework using appropriate tools such as Jenkins Improve reliability, quality, and time-to-market of our suite of software solutions Measure and optimize system performance, with an eye toward pushing our capabilities forward, getting ahead of customer needs, and innovating for continual improvement Provide primary operational support and engineering for our distributed software applications Gather and analyze metrics from operating systems as well as applications to assist in performance tuning and fault finding Partner with development teams to improve services through rigorous testing and release procedures Participate in system design consulting, platform management, and capacity planning Create sustainable systems and services through automation  Balance feature development speed and reliability with well-defined service-level objectives
