Accommodating more than 250,000 outpatient visits, and more than 15,000 inpatient admissions annually. Responsibilities Medical Management and care of patients in the Medicine Inpatient unitsMedical management of patients awaiting admission to Medicine Inpatient Units in the Emergency Department and Designated patient hold areasAttend to consultations and referrals as neededProvide education and training to resident, medical student staff and junior members of the medical teamCollaboration with facilty-wide departments as requiredParticipation in hospital wide performance and quality improvement projects and patient safety initiatives Qualifications Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal MedicineCurrent or pending NYS licenseActive DEA licenseCultural sensitivity and experience treating a diverse patient population preferred
