At DuPont, we are committed to excellence in our manufacturing processes and the safety of our team. We are seeking a passionate and proactive EHS & Quality Assurance Leader to drive a culture of safety and quality in our Nomex® Paper production at our Hokkaido mill.

Key Responsibilities:
EHS Leader:
•Champion Safety Culture: Foster a safe work environment by driving safe behaviors and operations in line with guidance from DuPont EHS.
•Training & Audits: Design and implement comprehensive safety training programs for all employees and conduct regular safety audits to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
•Develop Safety Framework: Collaborate with DuPont and Nippon Paper Group to establish and enhance a robust safety management system that nurtures a culture of safety throughout the organization, liaising closely with DuPont US teams

Quality Assurance Leader:
•ISO 9001 Leadership: Serve as the ISO 9001 Quality Management Representative, spearheading quality initiatives and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
•Performance Reporting: Organize and lead monthly quality wrap-up meetings, providing insightful reports on performance to our parent companies, DuPont and NPP.
•Database Management: Oversee the SFDC/SCAR database, ensuring timely follow-up on reports related to ingredient problems and customer complaints in accordance with JV-DPNP’s ISO quality management process.
•Customer Engagement: Act as the local lead for external customer audits and plant visits.
•Lab Operations Management: Direct the laboratory testing operations, maintaining rigorous specifications to ensure product quality.

Manufacturing Technology Leader:
•Technology Leveraging: Communicate and leverage manufacturing technology in Nomex® Paper sites.
•Technology Improvement: Encourage, evaluate and implement new manufacturing technology for safety, quality and/or productivity improvement.

What We’re Looking For:
•Learning Attitude: A keen interest in process safety management and Nomex® Paper quality management.
•Effective Communicator: Proficient in Japanese and English with strong communication skills to facilitate information exchange and collaboration.
•Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical preferred) or equivalent.
•Team Player: Self-motivated, positive-minded, and possesses effective teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:
•Experience: Minimum of 10 years in EHS or Quality Assurance roles within a manufacturing environment.
•Manufacturing Insight: Understanding of hands-on experience in lab operations, manufacturing, maintenance, or technical roles.
•ISO Expertise: Familiarity and working experience with ISO 9001 Quality Management systems.
