Aspirus Corporate Office in Wausau, WI is seeking an Non-Clinical - Intern - Information Technology to join our team!
The Information Technology Intern works with closely with IT Analysts and EUC Hardware Technicians to identify and repair and replace and add new computer hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, printers, disk drives and phones. Under the direct supervision of IT Analysts and EUC Hardware Technicians troubleshoots and resolves end-user problems and ensures correct operation of personal computers, software, and peripherals. Maintains inventory of computer parts and log of all repairs/service performed via Service Desk tool. Manages the return of equipment to vendors for repair and replacement using the vendor’s RMA procedures. Employs appropriate measures for retirement and/or disposal of outdated and obsolete hardware and equipment. They will also implement and manage any necessary policies, procedures, or best practices for Aspirus, Inc. regarding hardware and equipment on the Aspirus network.
HOURS: Occasional or .001 FTE, 0.8 hours every 2 weeks.
Experience/Qualifications
Actively enrolled in an IT related Associate or Bachelor’s degree program.Candidate should demonstrate through action a familiarity with consumer IT that can be translated to Health Care IT. Familiarity with consumer networks, desktop/PC troubleshooting, Windows operating systems, cabling, peripherals such as printers. Candidate should be enrolled in program that focuses on Administration of Microsoft and/or Cisco networks. Should have familiarity with Email, Instant Messaging, Mobile consumer solutions.Prolonged standing during staging and deployment/replacement of computer devices.
Frequent crawling, crouching required to deploy computer devices to business unites.
