All on site life extensions, repairs and inspection-related service activities able to be performed at customer site. includes onsite machining, NDT, blading, winding, critical welding, generator diagnosticBroadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy. May include support roles with specialized technical field of knowledge; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area. May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills and may be required to lead a junior team. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Explains technical information to others.Support activities as required such as proposal support, equipment maintenance, process instruction revisions, new test development, interpretation of customer technical specifications, field training, and develop productivity improvements.Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience power industry)Current or recent prior Level II or III certification in the following methods: UT, MT, ET & PTCertifiable to ASNT TC-1A standards in the following methods: UT, MT, ET & PTPossess a valid driver’s licensePossess or able to obtain a passport for international travelAble to travel freely to and from the United States and perform work without restrictionFluent in written and spoken EnglishTravel and work globally on short notice up to 80% of the time, and for extended periods of time, including weekends and holidaysDesired Characteristics
Strong oral and written communication skills.Demonstrated ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.Work effectively with minimal direction and supervisionExperience using digital data acquisition systems and NDT analysis software toolsPower generation industry experience in the field of nondestructive testingExperience in a customer service organizationProficient in MS OfficeAbout Us
For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $72,400-$108,600 USD Annual.
The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a Variable Incentive (VIC PW ) Bonus of 5%.
*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
