Job Description SummaryPerform, analyze, and report ultrasonic (Conventional & Phased Array) testing results on all production blades. Provide daily feedback to production and quality teams on findings. Report any subsequent information pertaining to product CTQ’s.

Roles and Responsibilities 

5 A’s: Audit – Analyze – Assist – Advise – Assure 

Functional responsibility for NDT infrared equipment.  

Ensure that tools are maintained and lL’s requirements are met. 

Collect and report IL’s and communicate to Quality leadership any outstanding issues with product or processes.   

Work with QE/PE on any quality related issues. 

Trouble-shoot and maintain Metronor system.  

Participated in any internal or external audits for NDT process.  

Help when required for gage studies or any project related to NDT processes.  

Complete current training and provide key updates on misalignment between current and future training materials.  

 

Required Qualifications 

Knowledge of basic software applications including Excel and analysis software. 

Must be able to follow WI, CI’s  

Basic trouble shooting skills.  

The ability to work with multiple different teams.  

Communication skills, verbal and able to email with management, supervisors, and engineering.  

Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing Certification in accordance with ASNT (SNT-TC-1A) guidelines for testing and certification & LM NDT written practice.  

Must be able to work with limited shift leadership support and must have discipline to complete all tasks and be self-directed.  

Visual requirements per NDT written practice.  

7.1.1 Vison examination:   

All NDT Technicians must undergo vision examination which includes “Near vision” and “Color perception” tests according to procedure described in TM-00433.  

 Vision examination shall be performed upon initial recruitment and after every year thereafter. 

Desired Characteristics  

Knowledge of our Production, Yard, and quality departments.  

A High School/GED or related job experience.  

Shift: Mon-Fri 12pm-8:30pm
