We are currently looking for a highly motivated, qualified and an outgoing professional to assume the position of Non-life Underwriter for the management center located in Brussels, Belgium. This position requires experience in the reinsurance industry, as well as strong analytical, organizational and prioritization skills.

What You`ll Do Handling client/broker relations, identifying and developing new business potential and new clients in collaboration with various operations of MAPFRE RE within Europe Clearly and positively articulating proposition and risk appetite internally and externally Anticipate client needs, monitor trends in order to recommend changes and work with business partners to provide solutions Representing Mapfre Re, defending its views on the market evolutions in various professional organizations Contributing to the wider development of effective business strategies, priorities and market propositions, drawing on own knowledge, understanding and interpretation of local markets and competitors

Technical Pricing of the treaties

Managing timely and efficient review of quotes that are requested by brokers/clients

Ensuring proper documentation of pricing review done and decisions made

Who We´re Looking For Master’s Degree in Actuarial Science, Economics, Law or similar. Minimum 5+ years’ experience (re)insurance Languages: Dutch/French and English Strong reinsurance pricing skills Excellent organization and communication skills (both written and verbal) as well as an ability to work cross-functionally Self-motivated and able to work within a team environment, outcome focused
