We are in need of an field supervisor for our growing non-medical homecare company. Our ideal candidate has at least 5 years experience working with seniors in their homes, has great communications skills and enjoys coaching and mentoring other aides so we can deliver the best care to our clients. The job inlcludes:
Customer Quality Assurance
Conduct weekly client visits to ensure up-to-date care plans are on file and effectively communicated among all appropriate parties Ensuring that clients are satisfied with Always Best Care Troubleshoot any caregiver or client issues or concerns - including helping out when extra services may be needed. Conduct agency’s Start of Cares (SOC) and new caregiver introductions Provide feedback on client needs and personality, as well as caregiver performance and personality to scheduling staff with the goal of improved caregiver matchups with clients Fully manage Veteran clients, coordinating authorizations and care plans with the VA case managers.
Caregiver Coaching and Support
Provide direct feedback and coaching to caregivers with the goal of performance improvement, better job and customer satisfaction. Provide caregivers opportunities to give feedback about clients, their own career goals and opportunities/assignments that they prefer.
Client Assessments & Administration
Conduct client assessments and reassessments as needed/assigned Update client records in Wellsky to ensure information, assessments, care plans and other documents for all clients remain accurate and current.
On-call and Fill-in duties
Share weekday and weekend on-call and back-up on-call duties for after-hours phone coverage and scheduling changes. On call is defined as any time the office is closed (COB to OOB). Fill in shifts as the “fill in of last resort” if needed.
Scheduling Support
Back up our scheduling function by working in close consultation with other schedulers, sales and customer service personnel, ensure that client schedules are filled in a timely manner and that any non-scheduled vacancies in client schedules are filled in a timely manner. Handle client feedback and complaints with respect to scheduling and caregivers Communicate any caregiver or client issues or changes to all appropriate parties. Enter notes into Wellsky about clients and caregivers to document issues and concerns, and ensure that all parties at Always Best Care have access to information. Learn Wellsky scheduling function to help and back up schedulers as needed.
Caregiver Training & Marketing Duties
Provide as needed one-on-one training in the field.
Other Duties
Backstop and assist as needed other office functions, including sales and marketing. It is especially important that information be managed carefully with referral sources and that this position works closely with Always Best Care’s sales and marketing function to provide feedback to social workers, nursing liaisons and other staff with whom we coordinate care and from whom we get referrals.
Skills and attributes
Must be a Connecticut state-certified nurses’ assistant with extensive homecare experience, or an LPN with homecare experience. Solid communications skills, computer savvy, able to communicate effectively via text, ability to multi-task, extremely detail oriented, fast keyboarding skills, honest & trustworthy, positive attitude, comfortable working unsupervised. Prior experience as a caregiver and scheduler for homecare agency strongly preferred.
