The Ground Service Equipment (GSE) Helper assists mechanics in maintaining and repairing airport service equipment. This entry-level role is perfect for individuals who are eager to learn and grow in the aviation services industry. As an AGI GSE Helper, you will:
Assist mechanics with repairs and troubleshooting on gas/diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and more.Perform basic maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and cleaning equipment.Help track and document preventative maintenance schedules for equipment.Maintain a safe and organized workspace, ensuring tools and parts are readily available.To be an AGI GSE Helper, you must:
Be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.Be able to obtain airport security clearance, including a thorough 10-year background check.As an AGI GSE Helper, you must be able to:
Lift up to 50 pounds (23 kg) regularly.Climb, bend, kneel, crawl, and stoop for extended periods.Work outdoors in all types of weather and around machinery noise.This role offers a chance to learn from experienced mechanics and gain valuable skills in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Airlines operate 24/7, so flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is required.
