Description
The Department of Anthropology in the College of Arts and Sciences at Texas A&M University invites applications for a temporary, non-tenure track, 9-month Visiting Lecturer position beginning August 1, 2025. The successful candidate will be expected to teach four courses in each of the fall (2025) and spring (2026) semesters, including multiple sections of introductory-level anthropology courses.
About the department: The Department of Anthropology (https://liberalarts.tamu.edu/anthropology/) is comprised of 29 full-time faculty in four distinct programs: cultural anthropology, biological anthropology, nautical archaeology, and terrestrial archaeology. It also features the Center for the Study of the First Americans and the Center for Maritime Archaeology and Conservation, and is closely affiliated with the non-profit Institute of Nautical Archaeology.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Candidates must possess a PhD in Anthropology or related field. Preference will be given to candidates with experience as an instructor of record for anthropology courses.
