Non-Tenure: Visiting Lecturer Psychological and Brain Sciences Location College Station, TX Open Date 6/5/2025 Position ID 162955 Description The Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences, College of Arts and Sciences, at Texas A&M University, invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track position with a 9-month academic appointment beginning fall 2025. This is a one year appointment. The applicant will be considered for the faculty title of Visiting Lecturer. We seek candidates who have a strong record of instruction, a committment to developing students as critical thinkers, an enthusiasum for the opportunity to contribute to the continued success of our department's undergraduate programs. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the positive, collaborative environment of the department through some service in the department, university, or field-specific roles, but the primary focus of this position will be on teaching. The typical teaching load for this position is 4 courses in each of the fall and spring semesters. Candidates will likely teach of a mix of in person, and online ( synchronous or asynchronous ) courses. The Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences at Texas A&M University is a community of scholars committed to generating scientific discoveries in the discipline, providing rigorous undergraduate and graduate education, and engaging in outreach about psychology and the application of psychological science. We offer doctoral programs in clinical psychology, cognition and cognitive neuroscience, social and personality psychology, industrial/organizational psychology, and behavioral and cellular neuroscience, and a Master's program in industrial/organizational psychology. We currently have 50 full-time faculty in tenure and non-tenure stream and tenure stream titles, approximately 150 graduate students, and nearly 2000 undergraduate majors across three degrees.
