Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE) Coordinator

In this position, you can apply your knowledge of inspection and continuous improvement to ensure that the inspected products meet specifications to prevent problems in the quality of products and ensure that inspected product meets the specifications. **Additional Info:** Shift: Regular Work Location: Batam, Kepulauan Riau Travel Requirement: None You will work both in an office and manufacturing shop-floor environment. Domestic relocation is available for this position. **What You Will Do:** + Provides conclusions and recommendations for quality issues and/or continuous quality improvement projects. + Perform product inspections of the machines/processes in the defined departments. + Conduct quality audits daily and complete all necessary reports on a timely basis. Ensuring that all NDT documentation, including reports, certifications, and records, complies with industry standards and regulations. + Develop and follow inspection and test plans. + Perform PPAP (Production Parts Approval Process) documentation and ensure that all International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2008 requirements are met. **What Skills You Have:** + **Decision Making and Critical Thinking:** Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment. + **Quality Management:** Knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques and ability to create and support an environment that meets the quality goals of the organization. + **Root Cause Analysis (RCA):** Knowledge of the concepts, principles and techniques of root cause analysis (RCA); ability to use a structured approach to identify the causes of undesirable consequences in a manufacturing environment and the changes needed to prevent recurrences. + **Manufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies** : Knowledge of organizational standards, procedures and policies in manufacturing activities; ability to plan, guide, and monitor manufacturing processes for compliance. **What Will Set You Apart:** + At least a bachelor’s degree with 3 years of experience in welding inspection or a similar role. + Certified Welding Inspection (CSWIP 3.0 or 3.1) or equivalent certification. + Certified in Non-destructive Testing (ASNT lv II) for MT, PT, UT. + Good understanding of various welding processes. **Physical Requirements (With or Without Reasonable Accommodation):** + This job requires extensive active movement throughout the plant including climbing stairs and steps, lifting devices, and pushing and pulling equipment. **What You Will Get** Our goal at Caterpillar is for you to have a rewarding career.
