Departmental Overview Compensation / Benefits $13.74-$22.44/hr. based on previous work experience. Evening differential $1.50/hr. Night differential $1.75/hr. Weekend differential $1.75/hr. We operate as a Level III trauma center, take care of all medical emergencies, specialize in patients with active strokes and heart attacks, work with two dozen EMS agencies, and collaborate with ED physicians, residents, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners. Porter ED has 34 beds, HPX ED has 16 beds, Moore ED has 13 beds and Nine ED has 12 beds. We are looking for highly motivated individuals ready for a fast-paced environment who are able to deliver the best patient experience to our customers, function well in a dynamic team, and represent our health system well. Job Summary Provides basic nursing care to patients and assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment. Performs tasks to support the delivery of care. Qualifications Education High school education or equivalent GED required. Requires Nationally Registered EMT Basic or completion of one clinical semesters of nursing school, or completion of a Combat Lifesaver or similar course, or equivalent relative ER experience. Experience Experience preferred with the completion of an Nationally Registered EMT, Advanced or Paramedic. Current experience in phlebotomy, arrhythmia recognition, and 12 lead EKG is preferred. Hospital experience preferred. Relative ER or Military experience preferred. (Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience). Basic Life Support (BLS) training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment. Prefer one or all of the following certifications: EMT Basic/Advanced/Paramedic Certification or Combat/Military medic training or one year of nursing school. Completion of MANDT relational course required within 6 months of hire. Completion of MANDT technical course preferred. Schedule varies Work Shift Night Position Type PRN
