Position:       Facilities TSA – Claremont Fiber Plant

Reports To:  Maintenance Manager

                       

Position Description:

Candidate will be an employee of the Fiber Plant facilities department.  The person shall provide support to all areas of the fiber facilityPosition is a Flex 40 position typically working Monday-Friday Off hours support may be required in order to keep critical equipment operationalCoordinate and facilitate completion of preventative and corrective maintenance activities independently or with the support of the Maintenance department and/or outside contractorsEnsure all regulatory checks on facilities and environmental control equipment are being completed and paperwork remains organizedEnsure all regulated Waste is properly labeled and organized along with scheduling of the disposal of the wasteIdentify facility corrective maintenance needs through visual inspection and/or review of data gathered during facilities daily inspection logsAct as a Medical first responder in the Fiber plantCompliant with all requirements in 40 CFR 261-265 concerning hazardous wastes including but not limited to labeling, storage and transportation of hazardous wastes from production areas to Waste Storage PadWork with the technical staff to resolve daily facilities issuesEnsure all product meets requirements as defined by the Plant’s Quality Management SystemsComply with all applicable safety procedures and ISO14001 EMS guidelinesOther duties as assigned by supervisor or a member of management 

Education:  

Required:       

Relevant technical degree or equivalent experience

Preferred:      

Associates Degree in Engineering or technology

Experience

Required:

Must complete OJT for specific job classification, as required, in a timely mannerAbility to read and understand Electrical schematics to aid in equipment troubleshootingExperience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting

Preferred:

Experience in fiber optic manufacturingExperience with SAP or other CMMS System

                       

Skills/Attributes:

Excellent communication skillsDetail and quality orientatedKnowledge of basic statistical toolsMotivated Team PlayerAbility to work with little supervisionAbility to analyze data to aid in improving maintenance metrics
