Position Summary:

The NA Operational Excellence Manager will focus on supporting the execution of tactical Operational Excellence projects, supporting and coaching Division operational task force members, and driving transformational end-to-end supply chain improvement initiatives.

Essential Functions:

Lead improvement efforts through all stages of Lean Six Sigma process (LSS) while providing leadership and guidance.

Evaluate end-to-end supply chain processes including procurement, planning/scheduling, warehousing, transportation, delivery to customer, and quality/people safety standards throughout.   

Document via flowcharting existing processes, identify fail points and develop solutions.

Conduct data and other analysis to determine root causes of service performance failure.

Research possible solutions in cooperation with project stakeholders and champions and develop/execute against timelines, key milestones, and implement sustainment practices.  

Measure the results, post improvements and validate results with process owners.

Leverage the DMAIC methodology which including Defining the problem, Measuring processes and the current state, Analyzing for root causes, executing Improvements, and Controlling/Sustaining the solutions.

Support Engineering and technology solutions through identification and elimination of waste in parallel to or before investments are implemented.

Promote a systemic approach to define problems, identify root causes, develop and implement counter measures to achieve sustained improvements.

Lead and/or participate in project teams and coordinate to help execute on process improvement initiatives.

Conduct process audits and reviews with teams where needed.

Drive Loss Elimination, Failure Analysis, Root Cause Problem Solving and a Relentless Focus on the development of Standard work to ensure.

Collaborates with teams across Operations, R&D, QA, H&S, Finance and HR to deliver superior results.

Supports Operations financial analysis, business reporting and communications planning/execution.

Identifies, recommends, and implements improvements to policies, procedures and workflows including handoffs to operations (Warehousing and Transportation) and technology teams.

Integrate with functional areas to ensure policies, procedures, workflows, and training programs are well defined. Ensure they are executed consistently.

Align Subject Matter Experts and Business CI resources to support Business Unit changes.

Ensure projects are properly scoped and cost/benefit analysis work is completed with a high degree of confidence. Ensure projects meet the business objective and are completed in accordance with plan.

Actively participate in process engineering studies.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Strong data analysis skills, ability to set priorities.

Able to demonstrate knowledge of various functional units’ operations and processes.

Professional in communication and influencing skills and ability to interact with all levels of an organization.

Ability to work across diverse teams and to manage multiple tasks in parallel.

Passionate for Standards Development, Standards Improvement, Standards Execution.

Detail oriented, Analytical Thinker, very strong Problem-Solving skills.

Demonstrated experience with lean methodologies and/or continuous improvement.
