North Division Vice President, General Manager

The North Division Vice President, General Manager has ultimate responsibility for all sales and operations functions within the division and develops and implements sales strategies and policies that help the division meet its revenue and profit goals. The Divisional VP/GM will drive sales activity while providing leadership and strategic management for several regions within the Daikin Applied Service Sales organization.  Critical to the success of the position will be maintaining strong partnerships with the Independent Manufacturing Rep firms for the regions in addition to any Direct Sales Offices. This position is responsible for executing operational performance at all levels of the regions they oversee. The Divisional VP/GM will have responsibility for building high performance teams with additional responsibility for championing initiatives to executive leadership.

Location: Hybrid position, individual must be based within the Division. Travel 50-75% of time, as needed.

What you will do:

Establish annual sales, profit forecasts and product mix expectations in accordance with the growth plan for the area and consistent with corporate objectives. Establish operating budgets for the factory district sales and service operations. Work with MOR organization to ensure sales objectives are communicated and achieved. Evaluate performance of Majority Owned Rep Groups including monitoring performance results, maintaining product line sales balance and market share growth. Develop and implement the strategic vision and plan for Solutions business. Drive the ongoing strategy for operational excellence and growth in the factory sales, service and parts areas. Lead and manage the factory sales and service leadership as they execute their business plan to meet their growth and financial objectives. Lead business review with the Regional General Managers for Direct Sales Offices and Rep Partner offices. Provide operational and sales management leadership and guidance at the regional & district level. Coordinate relationships between rep groups and factory sales and service organizations ensuring “one face to the customer” approach is utilized, and the appropriate rules of engagement are followed. Responsible for leading, directing and coordinating the owner and national account sales efforts within region(s). Coordinate and interface with various support groups to ensure the appropriate resources are available to the region(s). Work with and through the appropriate corporate functions regarding market and industry trends in areas such as pricing, quality, product needs, training and compensation. Evaluate the performance of direct reports and provide coaching as necessary. Assist in recruitment activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. 12+ years; including 8+ years people leadership experience supporting a sales and service environment Proven sales leadership and demonstrated ability to establish effective sales strategies. A demonstrated record of accomplishments in HVAC sales. Strong high-level communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Possess a working knowledge of the building construction process as well as HVAC equipment, and installation bid proposal process. Prior experience managing a P&L in excess of $100m.

The typical salary for this position ranges from $210,700 - $338,000. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Additionally, this position is eligible for a sales incentive plan.
