Overview The Highlands at Harbor Springs is looking for food and beverage attendants for North Peak. North Peak is located at the top end of our Interconnect lift where you will serve soup, sandwiches, snacks and beverages. You will be required to ride a snowmobile to get there. This position is a full or part-time, seasonal position that will allow the flexibility to enjoy the slopes. Responsibilities • Welcome and greet guests. Make all our guests feel comfortable and let them know you are there to personally take care of them. • Inform guests of specials and menu changes. • Make recommendations you genuinely feel your guests will enjoy. • Upsell food and beverage items by using suggestive selling techniques. • Answer questions about our food, beverages and other restaurant functions and services. • Take food and beverage orders from guests. • Perform side work at the start and end of each shift as required by service station assignment. • Maintain clean service areas • Respond promptly and courteously to any requests. • Other non-essential duties may be assigned • Record and account for items sold, disposed of, or leftover • Opoerate POS • Handle cash, room charges and credit card paymentsaccording to procedure • Take guests orders in a professional manner • Upsell and describe products as needed • Verify age on ID for sale of alcohol • Handle complaints and comments/refer to proper personnel • Ensure all equipment is clean and properly put away at the end of shift • Display willingness to make good decisions • Exhibits sound and accurate judgement Qualifications • Must have SafeServ Certification or be able to obtain one after being hired • Must be at least 18 years old • Prior Experience with Point-of-Sale system preferred but not required
