As the Northeast Water Market Growth Director you will lead the development and execution of strategic growth plans within the Northeast water market. Partnering closely with geographic sales and operations leaders, you align cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, shape go-to-market strategies, and drive performance. Your role is pivotal in connecting client needs with Jacobs’ innovative solutions, with a focus on achieving measurable growth, expanding market presence, and delivering long-term value for our clients and communities.
In collaboration with sales leadership, you help define annual sales targets and budgets for the Northeast Water Market, including gross margin and other performance goals. You then lead efforts to drive accountability and performance across your team of Client Account Managers (CAMs) that will directly report to you, ensuring consistent progress toward business growth objectives and strategic market positioning.
As the Northeast Water Market Growth Director, you share responsibility for the success of the market strategy alongside operations, account, and Market Solutions leaders. You work across disciplines within your geography to mobilize high-performing teams, strengthen client relationships, and ensure delivery excellence. This includes leveraging Jacobs’ global delivery model, attracting and retaining top talent, and fostering a culture of belonging that reflects our core values.
You also play a key role in elevating Jacobs’ presence in the industry—driving brand visibility through thought leadership, professional association engagement, community involvement, and strategic use of social platforms. As an active member of a collaborative leadership forum spanning the Americas, you contribute to the development of integrated market strategies and the sharing of best practices. This collaboration ensures alignment across regions and amplifies the impact of Jacobs’ innovative solutions
on a global scale.
Responsibilities
* Lead the development and execution of strategic growth plans within the Northeast Water Market and drive accountability and performance across the Sales team.
* Work with assigned Sales Operations team members as appropriate to ensure that strategies developed within opportunities moving into end game are properly incorporated into materials being developed as our offerings to the client.
* Work with Account Strategist to develop effective opening game strategies and account planning that yield the identification and development of robust pipelines of opportunities and productive middle game activities that position us to win.
* Actively contribute to Go/No Go, Bid/No Bid decision at the appropriate timing
* Participation in Pink, Red and Green team reviews, contract reviews, risk mitigation strategies, pricing strategy reviews, etc.
* Ability to lead, coach, and mentor staff, ensuring that they operate within their job description and are given reasonable opportunities and support to succeed.
* Demonstration of clear leadership in ensuring health, safety & wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do - through visible leadership, standard setting, active engagement, and
communication - both internally and externally * Technical degree and/or requisite experience in the aligned market
* Strong people leadership in alignment with Jacobs’s core values and leadership philosophy
* Proven track record of:
* Achieving sales goals through strong strategy execution and client relationships
* Successful budget management
* Development and successful execution of strategy within a specific market portfolio of clients
* The impactful application of the Jacobs’ Relationship Based Sales (RBS) process.
* The utilization of our Client Success Platform (CSP) and strong data hygiene practices
* Forming impactful strategic teaming partnerships
* Determining and countering competitor strategies
* Leading people within a healthy team culture driven by personal accountability.
* Coaching and mentoring sellers to effectively advocate for their clients.
