Norway Disney Cultural Representative Program

Job Summary: The Cultural Representative Program is a twelve-month work experience located at Walt Disney World® Resort, near Orlando, Florida. It is an opportunity to be immersed in different cultures from around the world and build lifelong relationships.
Participants need to be able to authentically represent and showcase the distinctive cultures and traditions of one of the countries or regions we have recreated in look and ambiance at the Walt Disney World® Resort. They will also be interacting with people from across the globe and crafting immersive experiences for our guests, while fulfilling various front-line, customer-facing roles!
Countries and regions represented are: Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Morocco, Norway, Southeast Asia (India, Indonesia, Thailand), Sub-Saharan Africa (Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe), and United Kingdom.

Responsibilities: Our Norway Cultural Representatives can be placed in a Food & Beverage, Merchandise, or Attractions role. Below are descriptions for each position.
Epcot World Showcase - Food and Beverage:Proactively greeting and interacting with every Guest that enters or leaves the restaurantsEscorting Guests to tablesSelling food & beverages, including alcoholic beveragesUtilizing a computerized reservation system for seating Guests in the restaurantSetting and stocking tables, carts, and restaurants side stationsCash handling - manual and using computerized registersBussing tables, cleaning kitchen and counter equipment, emptying trash cansHeavy lifting, pushing carts, carrying heavy traysProviding resort and park information to GuestsPossible prolonged exposure to weather conditions
Epcot World Showcase - Merchandise:Proactively greeting and interacting with every Guest that enters or leaves the shopsDemonstrating and selling merchandise (including alcohol and tobacco) in indoor and outdoor areasFilling orders, preparing and assembling food itemsCash handling - manual and using computerized registersStocking and cleaning shelves and cartsReceiving/putting away stock and deliveriesStroller/wheelchair rental – including repetitive lifting, stacking and pushing strollers and wheelchairsPreparation of food/candyPreparing packages for shipping/deliveryPossible prolonged exposure to weather conditionsEpcot World Showcase - Attractions:Working at one or more of the "rides" or theater showsLoading and unloading Guests from an attractionOperating sophisticated ride systemsMemorizing and delivering lengthy narrations on a microphone to large groupsRetrieving and arranging strollersAssisting with emergency evacuations of attractions when necessaryMonitoring Guest flow and providing a safe Guest experience Basic Qualifications: To be eligible to apply for the Norway Cultural Representative Program, you MUST:Speak English fluently.Be at least 18 years of age to apply.Be able to authentically represent Norway.Be receptive to Disney Look guidelines.Be fully available to work Sunday through Saturday, including days and nights, holidays and overtime.All candidates (including former Cast Members) are required to attend an in-person presentation and interview in Norway.

Former Cultural Representative Program participants must wait 15 months from your most recent program end date to apply for a new Cultural Representative Program. Additional Information: Pay rate: Cast Members will earn an hourly rate of pay starting at $18.00 per hour depending on the role they are selected to perform.
