Perform administrative activities such as adding/removing nodes and rebalancing for planned activities and unplanned outages. Perform DSE patching/upgrades as required. Use Nodetool to check information on a cluster or node. Perform manual repair processes of the cluster nodes as needed. User account management: creating users, disabling users, managing roles. Understand DSE Search and configure Apache Solr. Familiarity with DataStax security features. Experience with DataStax OpsCenter. Monitoring, logging, and management of DSE clusters using DataStax OpsCenter. Forecast future storage and compute requirements. Plan for capacity expansion and scaling. Design efficient data models and indexes to optimize query performance. Monitor database performance metrics and identify bottlenecks. Tune query performance by adjusting query plans and indexes. Implement and maintain backup and recovery strategies. Implement security measures to protect the database from unauthorized access. Set up monitoring tools to track database health and performance. Configure s for critical issues and system failures. Respond to s and take corrective actions. Diagnose and resolve database issues. Troubleshoot performance problems and data corruption. Experience with Couchbase UI and CLI. Managing and creating Buckets. Configuration of XDCR (Cross Data Center Replication). Creation/modification of indexes on Couchbase servers. Perform administrative activities such as adding/removing nodes and rebalancing for planned activities and unplanned outages. Fail over Couchbase nodes during maintenance or outages. Proactive monitoring, health checks, and audits of Couchbase clusters. User account management: creating users, disabling users, managing roles. Perform Couchbase online/offline upgrades as required. Improve database performance by tuning queries of the buckets. Administer database security. Monitor servers for memory utilization, CPU load, disk capacity, and disk load. Investigate any application failures by checking server and Couchbase logs. Troubleshoot and provide support for the production environment. Configure and troubleshoot XDCR issues. Implement and monitor backup and recovery for Couchbase clusters. Perform data migration whenever required. Build shell scripts to support specific requirements/automation. Perform database sizing estimates (capacity planning). Involve in the process of OS and firmware upgrades of the nodes. Manage the cluster during switchover to DR (Disaster Recovery). Synchronize the primary and secondary (DR) clusters. Add more capacity to the Couchbase servers by collaborating with relevant teams.
