Asset Management Associate The Asset Management Associate is an integral team member focused on AMH’s REIT investments in various rental assets, working closely with various internal stakeholders to underwrite and execute new acquisitions, manage existing investments, and assist with corporate growth initiatives and strategies. In this role, you will collaborate with stakeholders to analyze business plans, develop informed opinions, and create recommendations to directly implement changes to go-forward plans. You will create presentations and financial analyses to assist with corporate growth initiatives and build consensus on recommendations. You will manage project-level and portfolio-level asset management for various assets, oversee day-to-day operations, and prepare/review reporting packages and other materials as needed. Additionally, you will create and manage complex financial models, pro formas, and other analyses required for underwriting new investments and managing existing assets. You will prepare quarterly and annual reports for existing investments, independently present quarterly asset reviews to management, and monitor market and economic activity to develop investment and operational theses to drive investment decisions and ensure prudent management of existing assets. Requirements: In this role, a Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, with a minimum of three years of work experience in investment management, real estate asset management, real estate acquisitions, corporate finance, or financial services. You must have a valid driver’s license and possess expert financial modeling skills with an in-depth understanding of complex finance and accounting concepts. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential, while working knowledge of Yardi Voyager, Microsoft CRM, and Power BI is preferred. This role calls for a self-starter with a positive attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and the proven ability to take on various roles and responsibilities. You should possess highly effective written and verbal communication skills with a direct, professional style, and succeed in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects with competing priorities. Additionally, you must be able to operate in small, high-visibility teams with substantial individual responsibility, integrity, and significant exposure and accountability to all levels of internal and external senior management.
