Join our growing team at ChristianaCare! We are looking for an Adult-Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join us in supporting the Union Hospital Campus in Elkton, Maryland. 

As part of our diverse and exceptional team, you’ll care for patients with a wide range of neurologic diseases within the hospital. You’ll collaborate with Neurohospitalists, Vascular Neurologists, NeuroInterventionalists, NeuroIntensivists, and other outpatient Neurology sub-specialists to treat conditions such as acute ischemic stroke, neuro-immunologic diseases, seizures/epilepsy, encephalopathy, migraines, and neuromuscular disorders. 

The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently while collaborating with a Neurohospitalist or Vascular Neurologist to provide direct medical management of Neurology patients using established protocols, procedures, and expert consultations. After a comprehensive orientation, you’ll play a key role in Neurosciences by leading primary consultations and follow-up care for general Neurology and stroke patients, alongside a Neurology physician. 

Neurology experience is preferred, but experienced advanced practice clinicians from other specialties are encouraged to apply.

Position Qualifications 

Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant or Adult-Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Program required. 

Must be certified or eligible for certification by either the NCCPA or ANCC 

License or license eligible in the State of Delaware and Delaware, including prescriptive authority and DEA. 

Previous Neurology Advanced Practice Provider experience preferred. 

BLS required if not ACLS certified; ACLS certification preferred.
