\nJob Summary
\nAs a Generalist/Charge RN in Nursing Professional Development, you will use specialized tools and knowledge to enhance healthcare practices. Your role is crucial for promoting effective education and professional development practices following our Professional Practice Model. You'll partner with staff, leadership, faculty, and researchers to create and evaluate professional development programs. These programs help improve skills and encourage ongoing learning. You will advocate for practices to improve patient outcomes and promote synergy in our organization. Your role involves advancing the Nursing Professional Development practice in line with our system's model. This should also align with the scope and standards of Professional Nursing Development Practice.
\nEssential Functions of the Role
\nM-F 8-5, Will work in department as well as NPD
\n\nDevelop and assess professional development programmes based on recognized industry standards, facilitating professional efficiency, constant learning, and growth.\nPredict audience needs, consider challenges, validate with stakeholders, and help with educational planning.\nPartner in executing educational plans, utilizing strategies that encourage a conducive learning and practice environment to achieve desired results.\nDraw from the existing literature, research, and practical experience to create, implement, and assess educational activities, programs, or projects.\nEmploy valid and reliable methods to measure outcomes, working with stakeholders when evaluating and updating activities based on data.\nEstablish and maintain connections with Community Education programs.\nUphold ethical standards in practice, advising colleagues through ethical dilemmas, and supervising the integrity of educational activities.\nPromote research and apply scientific knowledge in practice. Closely participate in research, evidence-based practice, and quality improvement.\nCoordinate and closely engage in tasks vital for ensuring the best quality of patient care.\nSupervise, ensure safety, manage patient care in senior nursing role with high quality standards.\n\nKey Success Factors
\n\nTo succeed in this role, understand nursing protocols, patient care, health promotion, risk mitigation, disease prevention, and medical terms.\nYou also need knowledge of legal, ethical, and privacy issues commonly faced in nursing.\nEfficient coaching and clear communication skills are crucial. Qualifications
\nMust have Pre/Post/PACU/Day Surgery experience
\n\nBachelor's degree.\nApplicants need to have at least two years (2) of relevant work experience.\nBasic Life Support (BLS) certification or can get it within (30) thirty days.\nHolding a Registered Nurse License (RN) from Texas is a prerequisite for this position.\n
