Summary
The Nursing Professional Development Instruction Design Specialist uses strong interpersonal, written, and visual communication skills to bring together text, images, video, and audio in the creation of educational material for the Ambulatory Nursing Professional Development & Clinical Education team. Provides vision in the integration of instructional technologies for online, hybrid, and classroom programs, consults with and solicit feedback from key stakeholders for education product refinement and development efforts. Creates products for and serves as project lead on products for the Learning Management System. Provides technical assistance to Nursing Professional Development co-workers and updates and maintains the Ambulatory Nursing Professional Development Clinical Education and Nursing SharePoint pages.
Education
Must have a Bachelor's degree in instructional design, educational technology or related field.
Experience
Proven working experience in instructional design using instructional technology. Experience managing projects with great attention to detail.
Other Qualifications
Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models, lesson and curriculum planning skills. Solid knowledge of course development software with at least one Learning Management System. Visual design skills and ability to storyboard and ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts. Working knowledge of Microsoft products such as PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
