The specialist in this position will focus on product design and development processes. **Duties include:** + Support engineering and procurement prototype sourcing and ordering + Support shop activities including MRO/supply replenishment, special orders, and 5S initiatives + Evaluate suppliers, including local fabrication and machine shops, for competence and ability to meet CBDC development schedules + Maintain a level of technical competence which will enable strategic evaluation of engineering, manufacturing, and quality systems of suppliers **Minimum Qualifications:** + Strong understanding of, and comfort with, mechanical and fabrication principles and practices + Two years minimum experience in business procurement, industrial experience preferred + General understanding of engineering drawings + Familiar with purchase orders and data entry processes in SRM/SAP + Skill in negotiating and communicating with suppliers and internal customers e.g., engineers, mechanics, and technicians + Ability to keep multiple projects moving simultaneously + Skilled user of Microsoft Office products + Strong verbal and written communication skills required + Valid Driver’s License + Ability to lift 40 pounds We are an equal opportunity employer with an excellent benefit package including medical, dental and life insurance, 401(k) and profit sharing.
