This individual will provide CBDC staff level purchasing, research, and support services. The specialist in this position will focus on product design and development processes.
Duties include:
Support engineering and procurement prototype sourcing and orderingSupport shop activities including MRO/supply replenishment, special orders, and 5S initiativesEvaluate suppliers, including local fabrication and machine shops, for competence and ability to meet CBDC development schedulesMaintain a level of technical competence which will enable strategic evaluation of engineering, manufacturing, and quality systems of suppliersMinimum Qualifications:
Strong understanding of, and comfort with, mechanical and fabrication principles and practicesTwo years minimum experience in business procurement, industrial experience preferredGeneral understanding of engineering drawingsFamiliar with purchase orders and data entry processes in SRM/SAPSkill in negotiating and communicating with suppliers and internal customers e.g., engineers, mechanics, and techniciansAbility to keep multiple projects moving simultaneouslySkilled user of Microsoft Office productsStrong verbal and written communication skills requiredValid Driver’s LicenseAbility to lift 40 poundsWe are an equal opportunity employer with an excellent benefit package including medical, dental and life insurance, 401(k) and profit sharing.
