NPI Engineer

POSITION PURPOSE

JOB DESCRIPTION

Support project management on site and involved in 2D/3D drawing design &improvement. BOM maintenance in WC/SAP. Can help review samples builds readiness with vendor and track delivery plan.

MAIN ACTIVITIES

Participate design review with providing input and knowledge sharing on manufacturability to product design during development Coordinate and lead all new product builds (Prototype, ESL, MSL, Pilot) in an efficient manner. Review samples builds readiness at suppliers or SBD plant to facilitate the successful sample builds; Participate the sample build at suppliers or SBD plants. Review and approve robust manufacturing process through utilization of PFMEA, SMED & poke-a-yoke principles. Review and approve quality assurance equipment and documents (Incoming Quality Control, In Process Quality Control including End-Of-Line Testing, Finished Stock Audit, etc.) Highlight any risks and concerns relative to product quality and/or project schedule. Organize the completion of the products qualification Timely release of engineering documentation (drawings, bills of material, quality critical features, etc.) per need Coordinate effective communication across all team members, both internal and external. Continuous improvement plans for mature products Primary Finish Goods supply base and critical sub-suppliers’ development Some travel required (Domestic & International) Other business support required

REQUIREMENTS

Education required:  

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electromechanical, Science, etc.) 

Work experience required: 

Held roles in any of disciplines: Design, Production, Quality, Materials, Manufacturing Engineering.  Experience with project management and implementation a must.  Experience leading or managing direct and indirect reports a plus. 

Skills required:

Good written and oral communication skills in both Spanish and English. Demonstrated experience implementing multiple complex projects simultaneously Demonstrated experience working on teams in varying roles Computer Skills:  Microsoft Office, Windchill, 2D/3D design software (CATIA preferred) Hands-on ability to build prototypes, teardown products, and report findings or corrective

ISO 9001: Quality and EHS Policies.  ISO 14001: Water Conservation, Segregation, Aspect & Impact, Contamination and control ground prevention, Energy conservation.
