Required Skills and Experience:

Business Japanese Communication Skill Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field, with corresponding experience. At least 10 years of experience in telecommunications, with a minimum of 7 years in Network Planning/Optimization/Performance. Strong research skills and a willingness to learn.

 

You have:

Experience and understanding of network traffic, population profiling, distribution and growth. Understand Japan Telecommunication market dynamics and spectrum regulatory (a significant plus). Programming/Scripting skills VBA, Python etc for automation (highly regarded)  Multi-vendor experience (experience with Japanese vendors is a plus) and the capability to conduct competitor analysis. Expert Level experience in Network Design, coverage and link budget analysis, and site solutions for 4G/5G/ORAN/VoLTE/VoNR. Expert Level experience in Network Capacity Dimensioning: capacity analysis, KPI correlations, growth calculations, spectrum analysis, and long-term strategy planning for 4G/5G/ORAN/VoLTE/VoNR. Experience with telecom features, algorithms, and parameter trials, as well as benchmarking for 4G/5G. Experience with network benchmarking and post-processing tools, such as TEMS Investigation/Discovery, NEMO, XCAL/XCAP, etc. Experience with GIS tools such as MapInfo, QGIS, ArcGIS, etc. Good understanding of crowdsourced data analysis and their dashboards, including Ookla, Speed Test Intelligence, map explorer and cell analytics A solid understanding of 5G evolution and use cases for SA, Redcap, ORAN, URLLC, mMTC. Knowledge and experience in NPO pre-sales, NPO financial approaches, and cost analysis (a significant plus). A good understanding of task automation using tools like Power BI, SQL, Tableau, etc. (Python is a plus). Excellent presentation skills, including preparation and presenting to large audiences. Strong verbal, written communication, and presentation skills. Analytical, innovative, and creative thinking. Strong negotiation skills with customers, results-oriented. Self-motivated with a strong contribution ethic. Flexible to work in a demanding environment to meet customer expectations. 

 

Analyze Japan’s networks from the perspectives of capacity, coverage, quality, software, and product, and recommend proactive and reactive solutions and strategies to maximize sales and create new opportunities. Proactively influence customer network plans and prepare technical analyses to maximize the Nokia product and service portfolio using various Insight and Performance tools. Engage with customers and internal stakeholders on product-related queries, feature analysis, and competitor intelligence to drive upsells that contribute to network performance. Contribute to technical assessments for RFPs to ensure optimized network planning assumptions are considered for delivery Support long-term network capacity and coverage projections by implementing proactive measures and solutions. Perform network analysis using crowdsourcing tools like Ookla and Opensignal to influence CapEx decisions from customers and collaborate with relevant stakeholders like SWM team.  Innovate and promote diversified solutions for embedding tools and automation in regular NPO activities  Support and contribute to the SON sales program and POCs with optimization and planning modules to accelerate growth. Provide new approaches to network planning, design, and performance challenges faced by customers.
