Responsibilities
The Nursing Practice Specialist for Med/Surg Telemetry Departments will have accountabilities for planning staff development orientation patient/family education quality management and research consultation communication professional relationships and professional development as appropriate.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:Bachelors degree required.Advanced Practice Skills in Med/Surg and Telemetry.2 to 3 years experience required in Med/Surg and Telemetry.BASIC LIFE SUPPORT-AHA (CT CPRBLS);REGISTERED NURSE (RN);ACLS (CT ACLS)Working knowledge of several software systems.Effective oral and written communication skills Ability to read analyze and interpret hospital policies and procedures professional journals technical procedures or governmental regulations.Preferred Qualifications:
Masters of Science preferred or required within 2 years of hire.
Experience with Cardiac and Neuro Services preferred.
4+ years preferred.
