NRV - Certified Welder Repair

Role Summary

The Certified Welder Repair position will be responsible for making manual welds as needed. They will move material in the building, load sub-assembly fixtures, perform AM activity at the sub-assembly cells. They will work closely with the Quality Department to ensure weld quality and repair if necessary.

 

Job Accountabilities

•           To perform various weld process, predominately on thin sheet metal.

•           To execute body repair as required and directed by management

•           To perform operational task as required by management.

  Other duties as assigned

•            Must be able to work all shifts, overtime and regular attendance is required

 

Required Qualifications

•            High School Diploma or GED/equivalent

•            Solid written and verbal communication skills

•            AWS Certification in welding required

•            2 year experience in body/thin sheet metal repair

•            Ability to follow written plans and procedures

•            Able to work shift work schedule (including rotating shifts), holidays and overtime

•            Ability to work independently and in a team environment

•            Strong attention to detail

•            Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

•            Must be able to pass pre-employment background screening, physical assessment, physical and drug screen

•            Must be able to maintain regular and reliable attendance

•            Must be able to work overtime as required

 

Desired Qualifications

•            Associate degree or technology certification in  business or industrial discipline

•            Training in emergency response

•            Proficient computer skills

•            Knowledge of basic science and industrial mathematics concepts

•            Demonstrated safety training in an industrial environment

•            Experience working in a fast paced environment

•            OSHA 10 or 30 hour certification
