NSN Technical Support Officer

What Will You Do?

Receive and respond to inquiries regarding troubleshooting and use of computer software and/or hardware, including TORO proprietary software, general office software, and Microsoft operating systems.Diagnose system hardware and/or software problems based on knowledge of system operation.Recommend or perform minor remedial actions to correct problems.Work remotely (most often via telephone) to diagnose issues and explain proper operational procedures.Collaborate with co-workers and other support personnel to research and solve problems.Complete documentation for all customer-related call events using proper forms, databases, and standards.Assemble, configure, and run appropriate tests necessary to prepare all components of an irrigation computer system.Use software and hardware diagnostic tools to evaluate system hardware for conformance to predetermined quality standards.Perform necessary repairs and tests on returned computer systems or peripherals.Fulfill data recovery requests on returned customer computers and ship as specified.Ship systems and other hardware/software components using various shipping systems.Provide complete documentation in the customer database (Clientele) for all outgoing shipments.Access internet resources for research, troubleshooting, and downloading of software and firmware updates.Train distributors, dealers, and customers face-to-face and online about Toro products and services.Participate in ongoing training to maintain a high level of competency in NSN supported TORO proprietary software.Accept and adhere to all OHSW responsibilities, policies, procedures, and safe work practices related to the position.Handle some after-hours on-call responsibilities.

What Do You Bring?

University degree and/or 2 years industry experience.Proficient knowledge of computers and peripherals, as well as the Microsoft Windows family of operating systems and MS Office Suites.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish effective business relationships with internal and external partners.Bi-lingual skills in English and Chinese, Japanese, or Korean.Strong organizational, planning, communication, and influencing skills.Excellent numeracy and literacy skills.Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.Awareness of safe working and security practices.Ability to work independently, with minimal day-to-day instructions, or as part of a team.Highly organized, flexible, and proactive approach to the work environment.Valid Australian motor vehicle license.Valid passport: overseas and interstate travel may be required.
