Overview The NSO (New Store Opening) Project Manager is responsible for working cross functionally, as well as with our Franchise Partners and Store Managers, to drive alignment on a wide range of construction projects from design, construction, IT and operations in our new store opening process from start to finish. The NSO Project Manager will lead as the primary point of contact, coordinating both internal and external resources, and is responsible for ensuring all new store opening projects are delivered on time according to requirements. Manage a master project schedule/plan and success criteria to track goals, and priorities for new store openings, including cross functional coordination across franchise sales, real estate, legal, operations, IT, construction, and accounting. Serve as the liaison and escalation point for Franchisees throughout the project lifecycle to ensure team actions remain in synergy. Manage multiple projects, in various stages of development, with a specific focus on: Project scope and success criteria, from start to finish, for all new store construction projects. Formally close projects and perform post-mortem analysis and improvement recommendations. Work across teams to share lessons learned and best practices. Organize and lead meetings with key stakeholders as needed to review project status and discuss issues, risks, resolutions, possible mitigation plans, and workarounds as needed. Responsible for communicating and tracking project progress cross functionally, holding internal teams and franchisees accountable for schedules and milestones while maintaining internal databases to update progress using corporate tools (FranConnect). Create and execute roadmap including ideal timelines and project outcomes; communicate project timelines to both internal and external resources. Facilitate “lessons learned” management throughout the life cycle of the project including identification, documentation, analysis, and recommendations shared with the appropriate responsible functions. Lead weekly cross functional meetings and keep leaders up to date on status and progress. Responsibilities Strong knowledge of project management techniques and tools with demonstrated competency in their application Knowledge of how things are built at an advanced level, including understanding of all facets of the construction process. Outstanding interpersonal skills with an emphasis on building partnerships with internal and external partners, at all levels within the organization. Self-starter with ability to work independently Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects with accuracy. Friendly attitude in the face of adversity. Attention to detail while working in fast-paced environment with multiple projects. Strong sense of urgency and a “can-do” attitude. Advanced communication skills including oral, written, and presentation. Willingness and ability to work in a collaborative, fast paced environment. Operates with a calm sense of urgency. Takes professional pride and personal ownership of his/her work and accomplishments. Honest, open communication with all internal and external team members. Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Communications or related degree, preferred. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or ability to achieve certification within 1 year of employment preferred. A minimum of two (2) years’ experience of completing small to large high-quality construction projects in a fast-paced environment and the ability to manage client expectations. Franchise restaurant or retail experience preferred. Scheduling, estimating, budgeting, and procurement experience. Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel). Personal passion for health and fitness is a plus.
