Basic Job Functions:
NTP is seeking a strong leader and self-motivated Engineer. The successful candidate will perform a variety of duties related to engineering and maintenance in an industrial setting. He or she will coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are aligned with our business goals and company’s mission. We are looking for a creative and dedicated individual who will fit into Nucor’s culture. The job requires some overtime hours and travel. The Mechanical Engineer position is an integral member of the operations team. This individual will be responsible in leading the efforts to continually improve our safety, quality, cost, reliability, productivity, profitability, and team member development of our division.
Responsibilities:
Meet with internal clients to achieve project goals, expectations and clarify specific requirements of each project Clearly communicate project tasks, scopes and duration to teammates involved Track project performance for the successful completion of short- and long-term goals Meet budgetary objectives Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with team members and the managers Use and continually develop leadership skills

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferably in Mechanical, Mechatronics or similar Engineering). 5 years of professional experience Knowledge of engineering computer software programs Experience with process improvement Advanced time management and analytical skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong leadership and motivational skills Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferably in Mechanical, Mechatronics or similar Engineering). 5 years of professional experience Knowledge of engineering computer software programs
