Basic Job Functions: NTS is seeking an Accounting professional that is ready to take on additional responsibilities and grow their career. As this is a new business, this role will require strong critical thinking and problem solving as we build processes and procedures to support a growing business. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: + Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements. + Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations. + Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and company policies. + Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly financial reports for management and stakeholders. + Oversee the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly. + Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts. + Review and analyze financial performance, providing recommendations for cost optimization and efficiency improvements. + Coordinate and assist with audits. + Coordinate and best mark with other Nucor divisions + Some travel will be required to visit NTS production locations as well as best marking visits at other Nucor locations (20% or less).
