Community Healthcare System is hiring for a Nuclear Medicine Tech

Under the general supervision of the Director of Imaging Services and/or Supervisor, and the clinical direction of the Radiology Medical Director, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist will perform diagnostic procedures at a technical level as outlined in the Department Policy and Procedure Manuals, as well as related patient services and clerical duties.

Supports the Mission and Philosophy of the Hospital recognizing the dignity and worth of human life in daily activities.

Nuclear Medicine Tech Roles and Responsibilities:

Explain medical procedures to patients and answer any questions they may have. Follow safety procedures to protect the patients and themselves from unnecessary radiation exposure. Prepare and administer radioactive drugs to patients. Monitor and watch for any unusual reaction’s patients may have to drugs. Operate imaging equipment. Maintain detailed procedure records. Follow safety and disposal radiation procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Associate or Bachelors degree from an accredited nuclear medicine training program is required. Certification by the NMTCB or ARRT is required. Continuing education credits consistent to remain licensed by the accredited bodies mentioned. License with the State of Indiana for nuclear medicine is required. Maintain CPR certification
