Responsibilities

Obtains quality diagnostic studies by the utilization of radiopharmaceuticals and nuclear medicine imaging equipment.

Knowledge of: anatomy and physiology, medical terminology related to imaging, principles of operation and care of nuclear medicine equipment, currently accepted nuclear medicine procedures, radiation safety requirements and practices for the operator, patient and public, film processing systems, mechanical and electrical safety practices and requirements in the patient examination environment.


Qualifications

Required:

Current California license as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, CT NMT, CT NMTCB, current BLS Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association One year experience in an acute care hospital

Knowledge of: anatomy and physiology, medical terminology related to imaging, principles of operation and care of nuclear medicine equipment, currently accepted nuclear medicine procedures, radiation safety requirements and practices for the operator, patient and public, film processing systems, mechanical and electrical safety practices and requirements in the patient examination environment.
