Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Position Summary:

Prepares, measures, and administers radiopharmaceuticals in diagnostic and therapeutic studies, utilizing a variety of equipment and following prescribed procedures.

 

Responsibilities:      

Administers therapeutic doses of radiopharmaceuticals under direction of physician Follows radiation safety techniques when disposing radioactive materials Performs a variety of tasks Typically reports to chief technologist or manager Performs other related duties as assigned Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function

 

Requirements and Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Nuclear Medicine OR successful completion of an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology training program preferred Current Registration with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required within one year of hire PET/CT experience preferred
